  • Two Locations, Hilo and Pahoa. One coming soon to Waikaloa

  • This restaurant is open 7 days a week, and boasts an amazing brunch menu.

  • Local Tips: Their appetizers are all tasty, two of our favorites include the coconut shrimp served with an island dipping sauce and the chicken flautas served with guacamole and pico.

Coco Cantina is a favorite Tex-Mex restaurant located at the beautiful new Puna Kai Shopping Center in Pahoa. Coco Cantina is expanding to two other locations on Hawaiʻi Island, one in Hilo (now open) and one in Waikoloa Village!

Coco Cantina, service with Aloha

We often frequent this restaurant due to the high quality of food, amazing cocktail menu, and friendly staff.

Start your meal off with their complementary warm, salty, crispy chips and fresh homemade spicy salsa .

Their appetizers are all tasty, two of our favorites include the coconut shrimp served with an island dipping sauce and the chicken flautas served with guacamole and pico.

Continuing to the main course the fajitas, burritos, and quesadillas are all generous portions and cooked to perfection!

The fajitas are served with sides of rice and beans, toppings, and choice of corn or flour tortilla. The meat is tender and juicy, presented in a cast iron skillet on a bed of sauteed peppers and onions.

The burritos are massive and can be ordered wet smothered in a delicious in-house Coco Cantina sauce. The quesadillas are sandwiched between two large flour tortillas and are crammed full of roasted locally grown veggies and your choice of meat.

Coco Cantina also serves a great brunch menu!

This restaurant is open 7 days a week, and boasts an amazing brunch menu as well.

Brunch is served on weekends until late afternoon. If you are still hungry after eating your main course, feel free to indulge in their divine sweet cinnamon sugary churros served with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce.

We can not speak more highly of this restaurant, when visiting be sure to tell them Big Island Reviews sent you!
