If this is your first time visiting Pohiki, it is a wild geological wonder where the earth literally created new land, beaches and forever changed the coastline of Hawaii Island. Pohoiki has an alluring coastal paradise feel, and is a great location to see stunning sunrises and a relaxing atmosphere at sunset. Before you jump in the water be sure to check within the lifeguards. Pohiki is conveniently equipped with amenities such as showers, restrooms and a BBQ area. From Kalapana to Kapoho, this laid back area has been in a constant state of change over the last 80 years. Making way for new land, beaches, and adventures yet to be had. While much of what made this place so incredible is now gone, the parts of Pohoiki that still remain represent cherished memories for those that knew this area and for that we are incredibly grateful.
