KMC’s Historical Significance: From Rest Site to WWII Internment Camp

While this unique location has traditionally been a place of relaxation and fun, it does have a dark past. In 1940, KMC served as a Japanese internment camp and a prisoner-of-war camp during World War II. Its history adds a layer of depth to the visitor experience, making it a place of reflection and learning.
