Experience Old Government Road

This abundant forest drive is something out of Jurassic Park! The massive trees arching over the road allow for filtered beams of sunlight to hit the road in a splendid woven array! The Puna forest is full of life, giving way to dense flora and fauna that is so unique and lush to this district. This peaceful, leisurely drive is an enjoyable relaxing activity that can be appreciated by all after breakfast or lunch in Pahoa or admiring the rugged lava cliffs and ocean spray in Hawaiian Beaches. One of our favorite self-serve fruit stands is on this scenic drive, be sure to drop by and grab some fresh produce (they take venmo or cash- honor system).
